Serving the Community during Chinese New Year

In February and March, our club members gave a series of vibrant performances at multiple venues including Villa de Vida, Barnard Elementary School, Balboa Park, McDonald’s House, Chinese House, Poway and UTC Libraries, and Villa Rancho Bernardo etc.  Through the grace of our dance, we bring cultural artistry to communities and charities, sharing a spirit of warmth and compassion.

Chinese New Year Celebration and Charity Fundraising

On February 15th, members of our club kicked off Chinese New Year celebrations in various venues: we performed at HuaXia Garden Party and continued on to the Misson Bay and the Hsi Fang Temple, promoting Chinese culture and raising funds for the underserved students in education. In the Huaxia Garden Party alone, we raised $526 by selling food, toys, and hosting various fun games.

Volunteer for the 2026 Carlsbad Marathon and Half-Marathon

On Saturday, January 17 and Sunday, January 18, our club members rose early to volunteer at the Carlsbad Kids and Adult Marathon. They cheerfully served water and snacks to runners and helped hand out well-earned medals with big smiles.

A huge thank you to everyone who showed up, gave their time, and spread kindness. Moments like these remind us why we do what we do: to support our community and inspire others, one “medal” at a time. 💙🏅

English Teaching Summer Camp

On July 28, the 7th Chinese American Secondary School English Teaching Summer Camp commenced at Yulin Modern Senior High School in Guangxi, China. Over the 10-day program, 60 Chinese American students partnered with local peers for immersive English lessons, traditional Chinese cultural activities, and community volunteer service. This initiative fostered deeper understanding and lasting friendships between youth from China and the
United States.

Support the Kids Marathon Mile at LEGOLAND

What a great way to start volunteering in the new year of 2025! On January 18, our members got up early and helped the little runners at check-in, water stations, and the finish line during the Kids Marathon Mile at LEGOLAND. Though the morning air is cold, the unwavering spirit of runners and volunteers kindles a warmth within, reminding us that resilience and kindness can overcome even the freezing temperature.

Thanksgiving and Christmas Holiday Spirit

On Thanksgiving Day, November 28, several club members volunteered at the North Country Turkey Trot Thanksgiving Run, helping direct runners and clean up.

On December 12th, our club donated a box of toys and two boxes of brand new sweaters to the Solutions For Change Toy Drive. We wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

On December 22, our club members visited the seniors in the ActiveCare at 4S Ranch. They put together a show including dance, music instruments, and Christmas carols. Their wonderful performance won warm applause and praise from the staff and the residence.

Thank You Letters from Disadvantaged Students that We Supported

Our club just received the thank you letters from the 6 disadvantaged students we supported last year who are from China’s Sichuan and Jiangxi Province. Each student is from a family facing different adversity, yet they are able to continue with their education with the money we raised and donated to them. Our club has been supporting Chinese students in need since 2015 when it is founded and some of the students already finished high school and entered college.
